Morecombe and Wise are enjoying May’s sunshine in their new summer run, which was made from recycled furniture by our maintenance man Kevin. We are all enjoying watching them run around and playing together.
Primrose Lodge Southbourne was filled with noise and laughter yesterday afternoon! Everyone was taken back to their youth by crazily banging on drums and making as much noise as possible. Both residents and staff had lots of smiles and laughter at this session and we look forward to doing it again soon.
We are very grateful to Homebase in Bailey Bridge, Christchurch for our beautiful hanging baskets. We are now preparing for the up and coming garden party on the 12th of June from 3:00 to 6:00 pm. These colourful baskets are in prize position to be enjoyed by everyone who attends.
As the sun is shining, what better time to have a sunflower competition! The residents have been fully involved in the planting and nurturing of their flowers and we are all convinced Bill has given his some extra love and care, as his is currently out growing the others. We look forward to seeing who wins at the end and will keep you updated!
We are running a raffle for our garden party on Sunday the 12th of June and the tickets are now on sale! The raffle tickets cost 50p each for the chance to win a big discount on a lovely meal at The Spyglass and Kettle, the chance to treat yourself to a new hairdo at Sands of Southbourne, fruit basket, and meat hamper. We look forward to seeing everyone and all proceeds go to the residents fund for entertainment and day trips.
Our resident fish got a spring clean ready for summer this week! Aquatic Specialists, a local company came and gave our tank a good clean. Not only is it now sparkling clean but we also have new babies for the residents to watch grow. Richard did a splendid job and also brought with him a new addition to the tank, an algae eating Loach, what shall we call him?
Again thank you to the amazing staff Aquatic Specialists.
